What's the show?
Our Wars Have Ended is an epic weird-fantasy audiodrama taking place in a nation that has been conquered by its own history - the Kindly Ancestors, decaying corpse-kings and bone-empresses, have risen to reimpose their ancient order upon crumbling Cyshane. As old soldiers struggle to overcome lingering wounds, the next generation tries to find a place for itself in a world of strange technology, factional conflict and vicious imperial nostalgia.

Is it better to resist or adapt? Does the past hold the answers to our future? How do we stop ourselves from looking back?

Taking equal inspiration from Gormenghast, Sharpe, and Terry Pratchett's Discworld, and thumbing its rotten nose at Game of Thrones, this is a story of adventure, horror, family tragedy and social satire.

14 episodes are planned in the first season, releasing on a three-week basis with a mid-season break.

Who are the creators?
Jon and Muna are a husband-and-wife team of audio creators, based in Bristol, UK. For the past seven years, they've created some of the weirdest, wildest, most chitinous independent audiodramas in the world.

Their previous shows, I Am In Eskew (a narrated horror series about one man's life in an ever-changing, cancerous nightmare city) and The Silt Verses (a three-season weird-fiction epic about life in a world of hungering gods) have racked up over six million downloads between them.

The Silt Verses has won dozens of Audioverse Awards and an Independent Podcast Award (2024), as well as receiving nominations at the British Podcast Awards and International Women's Podcast Awards. In 2023, the show was adapted into an acclaimed independent roleplaying game by The Gauntlet.

Both shows have been the subject of academic papers exploring topics including hostile architecture and hauntology, sound design, neoliberal ideology and divine terror. This probably isn't strictly relevant but we're including it because it's awesome.
